In 1998, the change of the name to Salzgitter AG and the stock market flotation opened a whole new chapter in the Group’s history which, at that time, could already look back on 140 years of tradition. To visualize this, a new corporate design was introduced. The basic elements are the colors orange and silver-grey.
The orange triangle and the silver-gray circle stylize the colors of steel, Salzgitter AG’s core product. The circle is reminiscent of the converter in the steelworks and of the integrity of the Group. At the same time, its openings symbolize the Group’s willingness to embrace new technologies and business lines, while the triangle, which points upward, stands for its positive momentum.
